renasca is made by renasca LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. This policy explains what we do with your information when you use the renasca app or visit renasca.co.The short version: we hold what you put into the app to ensure the app can work, we don’t sell the information, we don’t track you across other apps or websites, and your goals are not visible to anyone but you unless you deliberately share them.WHAT WE COLLECT
Your account. Your email address and a display name. We use these to sign you in and to show your name to people in your circle.What you put in the app. Your goals, the notes you write about why they matter, your milestones and rhythms, the days you mark something done, your mood check-ins, and any photographs you add to a goal. This is the content of the app. We hold it to show it back to you.Your circle. Who you have invited, who has accepted, and the reactions and comments people leave on each other’s completed goals.Your timezone, to ensure that “today” means the same thing to you as it does to your phone.Your city, if you give it to us, so we can show you events near you and match them to the kinds of goals you’re working on. This is optional and we don’t ask for or collect your device location. Sharing it will help us better prioritise and design events to help you better achieve your goals.Technical information needed to run the app: your device’s push notification token if you turn notifications on, and basic information your device sends when it connects to our servers.We do not use analytics or tracking tools. We don’t track you across other apps or websites, and we don’t build advertising profiles.WHAT WE DON’T COLLECT
We don’t ask for your date of birth, your phone number, your address, your payment details, or your contacts. Event tickets, where they exist, are sold by a third party and we never see your card.WHO YOUR INFORMATION IS VISIBLE TO
Your goals are private by default. Nobody else can see them.If you choose to share a goal with your circle, the people in your circle can see that goal’s title, image, category, and how many of its steps you’ve completed. They cannot see your milestone titles, your notes, your mood check-ins, or any goal you haven’t shared. Circles are limited to seven people, invite-only, and you can remove someone at any time.If you share a goal and then complete it, the people in your circle are told you completed it.Nothing in renasca is public. There is no public profile, no search, and no way for a stranger to find you.WHO ELSE HANDLES YOUR INFORMATION
We use a small number of companies to run renasca. They process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.Supabase hosts our database and stores your account, your goals and your photographs.Resend sends account emails, such as password resets.Anthropic provides the models that draft your plans and suggest what to do each day. What it receives is set out below.Expo delivers app updates and push notifications.Mailchimp holds the email addresses of people who join our waitlist, if you have joined it.Carrd hosts renasca.co.Some of these are based in the United States. Where we transfer information out of the UK or the European Economic Area, we rely on the standard protections those providers have in place.WHAT ANTHROPIC RECEIVES
renasca uses Anthropic's Claude models in three places: when you ask renasca to draft a plan for a goal, when you shape a goal through a conversation, and when you check in with a mood and renasca offers one step for the day. These requests are sent from renasca's own servers, not from your phone. Anthropic does not receive your IP address, your device details, your name, your email address, or your account identifier. What is sent depends on which of the three is happening.When you ask for a plan: the goal's title, its category, its target month, and what you wrote about why it matters.When you shape a goal in conversation: the goal as you typed it, its category, target month and why; every question renasca asked and every answer you gave; and, if you chose to include it, what you told renasca you have done before.When you check in for a daily suggestion: up to three of your goals, and for each one — its title, category, target date and why; the rhythm you set on it and the thing that rhythm repeats; any note you keep on that goal; up to three things you have typed about it recently; up to three suggestions you turned down, with the reason you gave and anything you added; and the titles of its next steps and their dates. Sent alongside those goals: today's date, your local time and day of the week, the mood you chose, and the titles of anything you completed in the past week. If you ask for a different suggestion, the one you turned down is sent too.Internal reference numbers for your goals and their steps are included so the model can say which one it means. These are random identifiers. They are not your name, and they do not identify you to Anthropic. Goal titles, your "why", your notes and your answers are free text. Whatever you write there is what gets sent. If you would rather something stayed only on your device, it is best not to type it into a goal.Anthropic processes this data in order to return renasca's response. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, inputs and outputs sent through the API are not used to train Anthropic's models, and are retained only for a limited period for safety purposes before being deleted. We keep your information for as long as you have an account.You can delete your account at any time from within the app. When you do, we delete your goals, milestones, plans, check-ins, circle memberships and photographs. Activity already shared with someone else’s circle feed is not retrieved, because it was sent at the time.We keep your mood check-ins for 90 days. After that they are deleted automatically, along with anything you typed when you turned a suggestion down. What you did stays, the record of the day you showed up, but the mood attached to it is removed.YOUR RIGHTS
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict that use.Most of this you can do yourself: everything in the app is editable, and account deletion is in Settings. For anything else, write to us.If you’re in the UK and you think we’ve handled your information poorly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.CHILDREN
renasca is not intended for people under 16 and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.CHANGES
If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app.
